The quicker you act, the more likely the stain will disappear. Immediately treat the area with water or a stain remover.
Lightly dab your solvent of choice – try detergent, vinegar, or lemon juice onto the area, then rinse and repeat.
Start by unbuttoning all the shirt buttons, including those on the cuff and collar.
Pre-treat any marks or stains with vinegar, detergent or lemon juice.
Machine wash on delicate with other white or light colours using a good-quality detergent.
Let the spin cycle wring out most of the water in the garment and then promptly remove from the machine to avoid wrinkles.
Hang or lay out the shirts so they can air-dry. If hanging, opt for a good quality dress shirt hanger that won’t distort the fabric or compromise the fit.
Once the shirts are 70%-80% dry, iron out any wrinkles.
